Also called the Striped Tiger Fig, ‘Panache’ has decorative green and
yellow striped fruit with a sweet reddish interior. It ripens in fall so it needs a
long growing season to provide an abundant crop. The fruit can be eaten fresh,
dried or preserved. It can be grown as a fruiting plant in outdoor gardens in
zones 7-11 or planted in a large pot for gardeners in northern zones. ‘Panache’
is a rare fig variety that’s not often available.
